Teaching in a Technology-Rich Environment






Teachers will learn how to effectively organize their laptop for instruction using best practices in file management, email and calendaring features and then use technology tools such as online resources, video, digital images and more to create peer reviewed minilessons using presentation tools. Teachers will also explore best practices, policies, and procedures that lead to teaching successfully in a technology-rich environment. This professional development is designed to enable a teacher who has access to a laptop and projector to enhance teaching and learning using 21st Century tools. This professional development was created by New York City instructional specialists. This class consists of eight, 45 - 60 minute sessions structured around the workshop model. This professional development is aligned to the National Educational Technology standards, and the National Staff Development Council standards.

2 - Organizing Your Computer for Technology Rich Teaching
